The Hays High Indian softball team couldn’t overcome a pair of fast starts by the Pratt Greenbacks dropping both games of their doubleheader yesterday in Pratt. In the first game Pratt scored three runs in the first and six in the second on their way to a 10-2 win. Julie Balzer had and Kaylie Schoendaller each drove in a run.

In game two Hays had a 12-9 lead heading into the seventh where Pratt scored four runs for the 13-12 win. Katelyn Schumacher was 4-for-5 with three RBI’s and Kaylie Schoendaller was 3-for-4 with 4RBI’s in the loss.

Hays is 1-3 on the season and they host Dodge City next Thursday.
