A developmental screening is a way of checking a child’s progress in the areas of speech, language, vision, hearing, thinking, self-help, personal- social behavior, and motor (movement) development. The screenings are being offered for children ages birth to school age from Ellis and Rush counties.

The screenings are offered free of charge thanks to the sponsorship of the Hays Interagency Coordinating Council. The April screening is Friday, April 5 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2703 Fort Street. For more information, call the Hays Area Children’s Center at (785) 625-3257
