Hays Police have completed their initial report on Saturday afternoon’s car accident at Taco Bell, 1730 Vine.

Police Lt. Brandon Wright told Hays Post, “The vehicle, a 1995 Mercury passenger car, was driven by 80 year old Ruth E. Zimmerman of Hays. 82-year old Roman C. Zimmerman, Hays, was the only passenger.  EMS and the Fire Dept. responded to the scene, but neither party was injured.  The driver advised she misjudged the parking stall and struck the building.  Officers reported there was minor damage to the vehicle.”

Sergio Roman, spokesman for Fugate Enterprises, which owns the restaurant, told Hays Post, “We have not had a report from police and don’t have any damage estimates yet on the building.”
