Residents in Russell County will be cleaning up from Sunday’s storm damage. Strong winds, possibly a tornado did damage to trees and a ham radio tower.

Trained spotters also reported seeing funnel clouds in Russell County Sunday evening. There are no reports of any serious damage or injuries from the storm.
As the storm clouds rolled across Western Kansas Sunday afternoon, pea and dime size hail was reported in parts of Ellis County. Larger hail was reported in Rush and Russell County. There were over 50 reports of hail across the state on Sunday.
There were also reports of from a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain in Ellis County.
