The Hays Police Department conducted 13 traffic stops and received eight animal calls on Tuesday, according to the Police Activity Log.
Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two theft reported on Tuesday. The first theft was reported in the 1100 block of East 22nd Street Tuesday morning. The alleged theft occurred between 8:00 a.m. on April 4th and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. The second theft was a shoplifting report in the 4300 block of Vine Street Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to the report of a criminal trespass Tuesday at 4:41 p.m. and then began an investigation into the theft.
Civil Dispute: Officers responded to a civil dispute in the 1400 block of Oak Street. The alleged incident occurred at 5:22 Tuesday afternoon.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays PD responded to four motor vehicle accidents on Tuesday. The first accident involved private property in the 2200 block of Canterbury Drive at 5:08 a.m. The second motor vehicle involving private property was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 8:30 Tuesday night.
