The TMP Monarchs completed a doubleheader sweep of Goodland on Friday Night winning Game One 13-3 in 5 Innings and Game Two 5-4. Goodland started the scoring in Game One with 3 runs in the top of the 1st Inning. TMP answered with 4 runs in the bottom of the inning and took control from there. Cameron Brin pitched all 5 innings to pick up the win.
In Game Two the TMP scored 3 runs in the first 3 innings and Kameron Schmidt, Shane Zimmerman and Liam Stults pitched 5 hitless innings. Goodland came alive in the top of the 6th Inning with 4 runs off of Stults to take the lead. Ryan Schippers came on to pitch a perfect 7th Inning and the Monarchs won it with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning, capped off with a Kameron Schmidt RBI single. TMP is now 6-4 on the season and will be at Russell for a doubleheader on Tuesday.
