Topeka, KS — Kansas’ favorite son, Senator Robert J. Dole has endorsed Senator Pat Roberts in his re-election bid for the U.S. Senate.
“I am pleased to endorse my friend Pat Roberts for his re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2014,” said Senator Dole. “No one fights harder or more effectively for the people of Kansas than Pat Roberts. He never stops working for our values and our concerns. Washington needs more people like Pat.”
Roberts thanked Senator Dole for being a part of the Roberts’ team.
“I am honored to have Bob Dole support me in this campaign,” said Roberts. “His leadership, his dedication to our country, his patriotism and bravery make all of us proud to call him a Kansan. Bob Dole’s life and work in public service is a wonderful model, and I am fortunate to have him as a mentor, friend and colleague.”
Pat Roberts, from Dodge City, is the Senior U.S. Senator from Kansas. Roberts’ successful 2008 campaign has been widely credited as the foundation for the increase in Republican registration in Kansas. That historic momentum was built upon with the leadership of Governor Sam Brownback during the 2010 Clean Sweep victories and continued in 2012 as Republicans across Kansas are enthused about a bright future for Kansas and America.
