The Hays High softball team sweeps Larned Thursday at the Glassman ballfields. The Indians shut out Larned in the first game 5-0, then came from behind to win 7-5 in game two. The Indians have won seven of their last eight and improve to 8-4 on the season.
Game 1: Hays 5, Larned 0
Madison Prough (6-3) allowed just four hits while striking out four and walking two for the complete game win.
Shae Briggs had three hits and Katelyn Schumacher drove in two.
Game 2: Hays 7, Larned 5
The Indians overcome nine errors, scoring five in the sixth for the come-from-behind win.
Jenna Luebbers (2-1) allowed four unearned runs on four hits over 6.0 innings for the win. Madison Prough allowed an unearned run in seventh and gets the save, her first of the year.
