Kansas Governor Sam Brownback today announced recent appointments to boards and commissions including Dr. Jarrod Jones of Hays to the Kansas Dental Board.

“Kansas is blessed with citizens willing to serve their communities. I appreciate the willingness of these Kansans to share their time and talents to make our great state even better,” Governor Brownback said.

The Kansas Dental Board was created to carry out and enforce the Kansas Dental Practices Act. The Board consists of nine members: six licensed and qualified resident dentists (one from each congressional district and two at-large), two licensed and qualified resident dental hygienists, and one representative from the general public. Members of the Board are appointed by the Governor for four-year terms and serve until their successors are appointed.

Dr. Jones is co-owner and dentist at Cedar Lodge Dental Group, LLC. After graduating from Kansas State University in 1998, Dr. Jones earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas-Dental Branch in Houston, TX in 2003. He is appointed to a four-year term.
