Ellis County did have a brief rain shower around 6 a.m. Tuesday. As of 9 a.m., the official 24 hour rainfall total from the K-State Ag research Center south of Hays was .05 of an inch of moisture. That gives us .20 for April and 3.99 inches so far in 2013.
