Three Arrested for Drugs and Charges of Endangering a Child

 

Twenty-four year old Zachary Robert Drummond of Hays was arrested Sunday on charges of endangering a child. Drummond is a registered sex offender. It his third arrest in the past 30 days. He was arrested on April 8 for disorderly conduct and on April 24 on charges of battery, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.

According to Hays Police Lt. Ron Rounkles, “Drummond was arrested because misdemeanor drug charges were filed against other people at an address (1000 Block of East Highway 40 Bypass) at the same time. Since Drummond resides there and a juvenile was present, Drummond was cited for endangering a child, along with 20 year old Brandi Newman of Hays, cited on charges of endangering a child, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia and twenty-three year old Jacob Alden Ramey of Hays was arrested on charges of endangering a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.”

It was Newman’s second arrest over the past month. On April 8, she was arrested in the 2900 block of Vine Street on suspicion of purchase or consumption of alcoholic liquor or Cereal Malt Beverage by a minor.
