Saturday night’s storm did some damage to power lines across the region. However, few customers were without power for long. There was report of a tree falling on a power pole in the 2500 block of Ash Street in Hays.

“According to our online outage viewer, we only had 50 to 100 customers at a time without power,” Mike Morley, Midwest Energy Manager of Corporate Communications told Hays Post.
” High Winds and tornadoes brought down a few poles in the Rozel area of Pawnee County. About 70 customers were without power. With all storms from the Colby and Goodland areas through LaCrosse and into Barton County where we have customers, the system held up well.”
