Storms Caused Damage in Many Parts of Kansas

severe-weather Thunderstorms producing winds of 80 to 100 mph caused damage in portions of north central Kansas Saturday evening.

Just before 10pm strong winds caused damage to trees power lines and roofs in the Minneapolis area in Ottawa County.

There were also some semis on 81 highway blown over  during the storms.

Wind damage was also reported in Clay County and Cloud County with damage to homes reported in the Miltonvale area.

As storms moved through Salina just before 10pm a wind gust of 48 miles per hour were recorded at Salina Regional Airport.

Several funnels and tornadoes were also spotted near Rozel in Pawnee County.

One home was damaged by the storm west of Larned.  Nobody was injured.

The storm also caused tree damage in Nickerson in Reno County.

Thunderstorms are possible Sunday afternoon into the evening across the eastern part of Kansas.
