A family of eight were injured in an I-70 accident Sunday evening in Russell County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, “Steven Johnson, 44 of Colorado Springs was driving a Suburban and pulling a motor home. As he was passing a semi-truck near mile most 194, a mile east of Bunker Hill, the vehicle became unstable and entered the median. Johnson over corrected and entered the south ditch rolling several times.
The Trailer broke free from the suburban and landed upright facing southwest. The suburban landed on its roof facing southwest. Johnson, his 43 year old wife and six children ranging in ages from 6 to 18 were taken to Russell Regional Medical Center.”
