On May 21, 2013 around 10:44 p.m. the Hays Police Department received word from the Wichita Police Department that 29 year old Jose G. Jimenez was possibly in Hays, and that Mr. Jimenez had violated his parole. A copy of an arrest and detain order was obtained from the Kansas Department of Corrections for Mr. Jimenez.

The Hays Police Department learned that Mr. Jimenez was staying at a motel with his girlfriend and their children. In an effort to ensure the safety of the children and the occupants of the motel, the Ellis County Special Situation Response Team and the Kansas Bureau of Investigations (KBI) High Risk Warrant Team were called to assist with the arrest.

Mr. Jimenez was located in a motel room and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Jimenez has been placed in the Ellis County jail. The Hays Police Department would like to thank the KBI for their assistance in locating Mr. Jimenez.
