Six members of a family in an RV were westbound on I-70 Thursday in Thomas County when they hit a concrete bridge at mile-post 36 west of Colby.
According the Kansas Highway Patrol, “the RV veered into the median striking the eastbound guardrail, and continued over the guardrail and landed on the passenger side, coming to rest on the passenger side facing southwest partially in the eastbound lane on the south shoulder.” The RV driver, 74 year old Mary Harden of Meridan and her 73 year old husband were taken to Citizens Medical Center. Four children in the RV ranging in age from 7-12 were also transported to the hospital.
