United States Senator Jerry Moran is scheduled to be the guest speaker during Memorial Day services at the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in WaKeeney. SP4 (ret.) Wayne Purinton, US Army is also scheduled to speak. The Event will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday.
VFW Post 3449 Color and Honor Guard, Cavalry Re-enactment Troop, American Legion Riders, vocalist Taylor Trickle, Echo Taps will be played by Mick Bollig and Kregg Howell, Bagpipes played by the Rev. Randy Gibbs and Paul Mac Donald, WaKeeney VFW Auxiliary and Fr. Donald Pfannenstiel, Chaplin
The North gates to the cemetery will be open for additional parking. Seating is limited. Lawn chairs are welcome. Handicapped parking is also available near the shelter area.
