Tornado Sirens in the City of Ellis. UPDATE

severe-weatherAt 6: 48 p.m. on Memorial Day, tornado Sirens in the city of Ellis were sounded.  There was a report of rotation in the clouds south of the city.  Officer Gabriel Smull told Hays Post, “we did have a report of rotation in the clouds but it cleared up rapidly. This was simply a case of better safe than sorry.”  High winds were reported in many parts of Ellis County between 6:45 and 7 p.m. on Monday. Some trees lost limbs but there were no reports of serious damage or injuries.
