Kansas Center For Innovative Ed Offering Summer Programs

KCIE Logo“Beginning Technology Components” is the first of three June-July workshops presented by Kevin Splichal, instructor of teacher education, through The Kansas Center for Innovative Education.  

All three workshops will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Fort Hays State University’s Sternberg Museum of Natural History.

June 11: “Beginning Technology Components” provides the basics of using technology. It is designed for people who have little knowledge of computers. 

June 18: Splichal will present “Intermediate Technology Components,” focusing on implementing technology to successfully navigate websites and use search engines. He will also have some tips on navigating online courses. 

July 9: Splichal will present “Advanced Technology Components,” a workshop on the best methods to work in Blackboard and Google.

By completing the workshop series, attendees will receive a special designation certificate. All three workshops are available for graduate credit.

Registration for each of these events is $90. Registration is due one week prior to each event. To enroll for graduate credit, registration is due two weeks in advance.
