A cattle truck overturned sending a teenage girl to the hospital and blocking a western Kansas highway on Thursday afternoon. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, “Linden L. Sink, 22 of Quinter, driving a 2000 Freightliner South on US 283, was taking a load of cattle to Dodge City. He had just finished passing another vehicle when a gust of wind caused the truck to swerve into the westbound ditch. The truck then left the road and traveled south in the west ditch over Q road.
Sink over corrected and laid the truck on its passenger side blocking US 283 near Jetmore. A 17 year old female passenger Lani N. Miller of Laura, Ohio was transported to Hodgeman County Hospital. Sink was not injured.”
