Ellis County Commissioners say “Yes” to Invenergy.

During their Monday night meeting, they approved a resolution for a conditional-use permit for Invenergy which was the unanimous recommendation made May 22 by the Ellis County Joint Planning Commission.

The CUP allows Invenergy to construct and operate the Buckeye Wind Project in the northwest quarter of Ellis County.

Ellis County must first approve the development and decommissioning plans for the 28,000 acre project.
