It was record setting day of hot weather on Tuesday. It was the hottest day so far in 2013 with triple Digits across western Kansas.  According to the National Weather Bureau, Colby (107), Goodland (107), Garden City (108), Hill City (111), Phillipsburg (106), Smith Center (106), Dodge City (104) and many other communities had record high temperatures.  Record high minimum temperatures in the mid 70s were also set in western Kansas on Tuesday.
