June 14 is national Flag Day.

This year the Hays Kiwanis Club placed about 860 American flags across the community staring at 6.am.

It’s a fundraising project for the service club.

Individuals and businesses pay for the flags to be placed in front of their homes and shops several times a year.

The flags go up at dawn and are removed at dusk.
