The state’s first compressed natural gas station opened in Wichita on Thursday. Midwest Energy Solutions based out of Kansas City is the supplier of the Natural Gas.

A modification device can be purchased for vehicles that run off of unleaded fuel so they are able to use Natural Gas.

The Natural Gas is compressed into a liquid form so it can be used in vehicles. Right now the price of Natural Gas is $1.90 per gallon compared to $3.25 to $3.45 for unleaded fuel.
