Police are looking for a vehicle and suspect involved in a couple of incidents in Southwest Kansas.
Dodge City Police Chief Craig Melleker told Hays Post they are actively searching for the individual involved in the latest incident on Saturday night.
“At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, an 18 year old female was walking home in the 1700 block of Avenue F in Dodge City when she was approached by a Hispanic male in a white suburban. The Hispanic male asked her if she wanted a ride home. When she refused, the male followed her several blocks to her home.
This male was described by the victim as having a very dark complexion. He had short black hair and he spoke with a heavy accent indicative of Spanish being his primary language.
The vehicle and suspect description match a similar incident that occurred on 06/16/2013 in Dodge City, when a 16 year old female was approached by a Hispanic male who tried to force her into his vehicle.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, approximately 5’8, 150-170 pounds, muscular build with black hair, and a very dark complexion. His hair is shaved on the sides and spiked on top.
The suspect vehicle is described as an early 2000s model white suburban or similar looking SUV. It has tinted windows and shiny wheels (rims).
Dodge City police are asking for the public’s help in identifying this Hispanic male and his vehicle.
