Three people were seriously injured when an SUV hit a tractor mowing along I-70 Wednesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, “Kevin R. Browne of Blacksburg, Virginia was driving a 2007 Chevy SUV eastbound on Interstate 70, at mile post 23, when the vehicle drifted left of center striking the rear of a New Holland tractor mower driven by Jonathan T. McClung, age 23 of Goodland.

McClung had been eastbound mowing in the median. The SUV rolled one time coming to rest on the roof facing southbound in the median. Browne and the passenger in the SUV Linda S. Browne, age 58, of Blacksburg, Virginia were transported by EMS to Goodland Hospital and later air lifted to Denver Health Hospital. McClung is being treated for injuries at Goodland Regional Medical Center. All three were wearing seat belts.”
