A Trego County man was killed in a Norton county accident on Wednesday morning.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, “Sixty-four year old Ernest Leroy Kilpatrick of Collyer was driving a 2009 Chevy Suburban eastbound on Highway K9 at mile marker 36, 2 miles west of Densmore, in Norton County. The vehicle struck a deer. Kilpatrick swerved and over-corrected. The suburban entered the north ditch and rolled. He was ejected and the vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing south. Kilpatrick was not wearing a seat belt.”
