(AP) — A third man has been charged with stealing weapons from Sedgwick County sheriff’s vehicles.
Sedgwick County District Attorney spokesman Dan Dillon said in an email that 21-year-old Erick Dean White of Wichita faces three counts of burglary, two counts of possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a firearm and theft in the case.
White made his first appearance Friday in Sedgwick County District Court.
He’s jailed on $300,000 bond. It’s not immediately known if he has an attorney.
The Sheriff’s Office has said three men broke into three vehicles at the county’s fleet maintenance compound on June 29 and stole a semi-automatic Bushmaster M4 rifle, two Remington 870 shotguns and other law enforcement gear. At least one of the guns has been recovered.
