Two Ellis County men were involved in a head on crash in Decatur County on Saturday shortly after 9a.m.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Shane E. Herrington, 25,  of Victoria was driving a 1991 Chevy S-10 pickup just left of center following another vehicle west bound on County Road N2, one mile northeast of Norcatur.

Kenneth L. Blackburn, age 46 of Hoisington, was driving a 2004 Kenworth Semi-truck east bound.

Visibility for both vehicles was decreased due to dusty conditions. The vehicles collided head on just west of county road 523. Herrington was transported to the Hospital in Norton. A passenger in the pickup, Michael Brady Hood, age 23 of Hays, and the semi truck driver were not injured. They were all wearing seat belts.
