(AP) — Scrapbooks that chronicle author Ernest Hemingway’s childhood from diapers to high school will be made publicly available online for the first time.

The JFK Library and Museum in Boston has digitized pages from five scrapbooks that the mother of the Pulitzer and Nobel Prize winner made to document his early life.

Hemingway Collection curator Susan Wrynn says the fragile volumes have been in a vault for decades.

She says much of the content hasn’t been made available to the public before, and only a few researchers have seen it in its entirety.

On Sunday, Hemingway’s 114th birthday, hundreds of pages will go online at http://www.jfklibrary.org

Sean Hemingway tells The Associated Press he’s sure there are clues within the scrapbooks to the writing talent his late grandfather showed as an adult.
