12:55 p.m. update    A Friday morning rollover accident sent a man to the hospital. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Twenty-nine year old Keith E. Hammond of Casper, Wyoming was driving a 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup east bound on I-70 at mile post 164, 4 miles East of Hays.

He lost control of the truck, struck a culvert and rolled unknown amount of times landing in the south ditch. He was transported to Hays Medical Center. He was wearing a seat belt.

10: 40 a.m. Lanes to I-70 East bound at Toulon ( mile post 164) are open.  We will have additional details on the accident soon.

 

9:51 a.m. Law enforcement and emergency medical responders have been dispatched this morning to report of a rollover accident on I-70 East bound near mile post 164, 5 miles east of Hays.
