A 24-year-old rural Hedville man faces several traffic charges for driving his pickup around a road-closed barricade, and putting the pickup in a hole where a bridge construction project is underway.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said deputies were sent to the area of State Street and Lightville Road around 7:30am Saturday morning after the pickup was discovered in bottom of the hole.
Two tow trucks were used to get the pickup out of the hole.
Saturday afternoon, Chad Walker went to the Salina Police Department to see if he could get some assistance in getting his pickup back.
Walker apparently drove around the barricade and into the hole around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.
Walker was charged with no seat belt, failure to obey traffic control, failure to report and leaving the scene of an injury accident.
Walker had a small cut on his arm from the wreck.
