
The 31st Annual Herzogfest is taking place in Victoria this weekend. Festivities begin at 5:00pm tonight and continue all day Saturday.
Herzogfest president Marge Rome told Hays Post
“We’re sticking to our schedule unless something happens with the weather that we can’t. Otherwise, we’re planning on everything we have on the schedule.”
Senator Jerry Moran will be taking part in the parade and he will speak at the welcome ceremony as well, according to a press release from his office.
Here are a few of the scheduled events for this weekend:
Friday
5:00 to 8:00 pm – FREE Swimming / Games
5:30 pm – Free Concert featuring Galen Schmidtberger & Joe Dolezal
7:30 pm – Free Concert featuring Paramount
9:30 pm – Free Concert featuring LoCash Cowboys
Saturday
8am to 2:30pm – The 4th Annual Rod, Custom, & Cycle Show followed by awards.
9:30am – Herzogfest Parade
10am – Welcome ceremony
New 10:30am – Free cancer screenings. They will be set up in a large white tent north of the K of C hall across from the park grounds.
New 6:30pm – Hot air balloon tether rides (weather permitting)
9:30pm – Free Concert featuring Jimmy Dee and the Fabulous Destinations
