A resident of Hays was the lucky person to purchase a lottery ticket that won $1 Million in Wednesday’s powerball drawing.
A Kansas Lottery Spokesperson told Hays Post that the winning lottery ticket was purchased at Cerv’s on Hall St.
The Hays resident, who matched 5 of the six numbers, wishes to remain anonymous.
For selling the winning ticket, the store is eligible for a $1,000 selling bonus.
Two other tickets from the August 7 Powerball drawing matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball, to be worth $10,000. The tickets were both sold in northeast Kansas and remain unclaimed.
