The recent rains have created some standing water. It is a breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Consider these recommendations for protection against mosquitoes.
Use effective repellants for keeping the bugs away from you. Also, avoid being outside at dawn and dusk, and make sure to repair any damaged window screens
Eliminate standing water from flowerpots, buckets and barrels. Change water in you pets dishes and replace the water in birdbaths weekly.
Drill holes in tire swings so water drains out. Clean rain gutters and make sure they are draining properly. Pick up trash and debris. Mosquitoes can breed in a very small amount of water.
