Nathan James Beougher was arrested in April while attempting to escape from custody at the Ellis County Court House. He is finally free from the Court House and out of the Ellis County Jail.

On Thursday, despite Ellis County Attorney Tom Drees arguing for prison time, a judge granted Beouger’s request for probation.
Beouger, age 28 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, had been arrested on a 2012 felony battery charge and at the time of his attempted escape, a judge had revoked his bond and ordered him jailed for intent to distribute marijuana.
Law enforcement officers captured Beougher before he was able to exit the courthouse. No one was injured.
