Hays police have made an arrest in connection with a recent garage burglary in the 1300 Block of Lawrence Drive.  

According to Lt. Ron Rounkles, “during a stop for a traffic violation, Javon DeAndre Houp, age  19 of Hays was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, possession of hallucinogenic drugs, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.”

In June, Houp was arrested for battery; causing bodily harm.

He remains in the Ellis County Jail.
