(AP) — Detectives in Sedgwick County are trying to contact more than 150 people whose personal documents turned up in a Wichita home.
The sheriff’s department says the mail, checks, credit cards and Social Security cards were found last week in the search of a 23-year-old woman’s home. The woman was arrested on outstanding warrants, and more arrests are expected.
Most of the documents were taken from mailboxes or vehicles, and some date back to 2008. The victims mostly lived in one part of Wichita, but the sheriff’s office says there are others from throughout Sedgwick County.
Authorities advise residents to check their mail every day and to review credit card and bank statements.
