It was a good week for the Barton County Sheriff’s Department. For the third time in five days, the Sheriff’s department executed search warrants Friday that resulted

in the arrests of two suspects and the confiscation of both drugs and stolen property.

According to Sheriff Brian Bellendir, officers obtained search warrants for 340 Heizer Street in Great Bend to allow for the recovery of stolen property. Upon entering the address, officers observed drug paraphernalia and suspected drugs in plain view. Another search warrant was obtained for the drugs and a search of the residence was conducted.

In the search, officers found crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and recovered $4,000.00 dollars in stolen property. Arrested at the scene were 26-year old Ashley D. Immediato of Great Bend and 23-year old Reynaldo J (Spanky)

Verduzco of Great Bend. Both subjects were booked into the Barton County Jail on charges of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property. Bond was set for both at $100.000.00.

Also recovered were several firearms, one of which was a sawed-off shotgun. The weapon had been cut off shorter than allowable by law. Charges are pending on the firearms related issues.

In addition, Bellendir says the department was able to obtain the whereabouts of a pickup owned by Shawn Satterfield. Satterfield was arrested Tuesday on drug

related charges. The vehicle was seized in the 900 block of Elm and a search warrant was obtained and the vehicle impounded.

During the week, the Sheriff’s Department served more than seven search warrants and made several arrests along with confiscating sizable quanities of methamphetamine and marijuana. Also recovered was stolen property, fire arms and drug paraphernalia.
