The Heartland Community Foundation is proud to announce the addition of three new volunteer board members.
Mike Koerner, HCF board chair, said today, “We welcome Glenn Sears, Vice President, First State Bank in Plainville; Susan Bowles, Executive Director of the Hays Area Children’s Center, and Chris Sook, Hays Attorney, to the Heartland Community Foundation’s board of directors.”
“These new additions will join our 10 current board members in September,” Koerner said. “Together we will work very hard to carry out the Foundation’s mission of meeting charitable community needs through leadership, grants and donor services.”
Koerner said current HCF board members are: Brandon Prough, vice chair, Mendi Alexander, secretary, Steve Baumrucker, treasurer, and Andrew Rupp, Shae Veach, Kaylene Brin all from Hays, Tammy McClellan from Palco, and Tom Kreutzer and Larry Dietz of WaKeeney. Bob Lowen, Hays, is the executive director of the Foundation.
Lowen said the Heartland Community Foundation was funded in 2007, is a charitable, not-for-profit organization which serves Rooks, Trego and Ellis counties, and is one of 12 Foundations affiliated with the Greater Salina Community Foundation.
