It doesn’t matter if you bring a huge tank, or a small bucket.
The city of Ellis has some water to give away to Ellis residents
The Public Works Department will hold a water distribution event Thursday morning starting at 8 at the Ellis Municipal Pool.
One-hundred-thousand gallons of water will be drained from the pool, leaving it about half-full which is a warranty requirement of the pool liner purchased in 2009.
The water does have pool chemicals and other debris in it, but Public Works Director Alan Scheuerman says the chlorine is very diluted and should be all-right for a one-time use on grass.
The city of Ellis remains in a Water Emergency with no outdoor watering allowed.
