The FAA and the Kansas Highway Patrol say they will begin an investigation of an emergency landing of a small plane in a field near Cheney Lake on Wednesday.
It took officials over an hour to find the Cessna single engine plane. It was reportedly an experimental aircraft.
Cessna confirmed that the plane had only a pilot on board and there were no injuries. The pilot had reported landing in one location when he had actually landed near the Reno County line after engine problems.
