A one vehicle accident in western Kansas sent two to the hospital.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, at 2:15am 25-year-old Rogelio Cerda of Dodge City was driving a 2004 GMC Sierra pickup southbound on county road 430 about 1/2 mile southwest of Oakley when he lost control.

The vehicle entered the west ditch, rolled and came to rest on the driver’s side facing south east.

Cerda and his passenger, 21-year-old Paula Cabrera of Dodge City were transported to Logan County Hospital. Cerda was later flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Both were wearing seat belts.
