A Charge of Tanning bed eavesdropping

AP) — The owner of a Hutchinson dog kennel is accused of using a surveillance camera to watch an employee in a tanning bed.Reno county court

Terry Bryan, owner of Pampered Paws, is charged with felony eavesdropping.

A former employee claimed in court Wednesday that Bryan used a concealed camera to watch her while she tanned nude in a backroom at the kennel. The former employee was a high school student when the incident occurred last year. She said she noticed the camera, unplugged it and took cellphone photos of it and showed them to police.

Bryan’s lawyer, Michael Whalen, says the case doesn’t meet state eavesdropping guidelines, and prosecutors cannot prove Bryan was watching the monitor. He also says although images may have been transmitted, nothing was recorded.
