A one vehicle accident in Victoria this morning resulted in one man being arrested.

According to the Victoria Police Department, at approximately 9:45 am a report came in that an adult male was involved in a one-vehicle accident.  The individual left the road and drove his Toyota station wagon into a mailbox at 6th and Cathedral in Victoria.  Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of the accident and upon arrival arrested the driver for driving under the influence.

Charges have yet to be formally filed by the Ellis County Attorney, so the name of the driver has not been released.
