The Hays Public Library will be hosting a fall bird walk in Frontier Park Saturday, September 28 at 8:00 Library - Hays 001a.m.  Bird enthusiast Terry Mannell will be giving a guided tour through the park, spotting and identifying different species of birds.

Luci Bain, Kansas Room Librarian, told Hays Post that the event is free for everyone. She also said that people should plan appropriately for the event.

“People should wear comfortable shoes and check the weather to make sure they dress comfortably. It was really cold the last time we did it.”

She added that interested parties will need to bring their own cameras, binoculars and other equipment for the walk.

The walk will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the east side of Frontier Bridge. Parking will be available close to the starting site. The bird walk will last roughly one hour. For more information contact Luci at 785-625-9014 or email her at [email protected].
