Christopher Bates, 30, of Fort Riley, Kansas was arrested on September 26, 2013 at approximately 1:00 PM in the 200 block of Custer Road in Fort Riley as a result of a warrant and ongoing investigation into the offenses for which he was arrested.

Bates is currently being held in lieu of $50,000.00 bond for the offenses of rape (X3), aggravated indecent liberties with a child (x2), and aggravated criminal sodomy. These crimes took place in Riley County earlier this year and involved 3 female victims under the age of 12 that were known to him.

Victim and further case information is being withheld due to the nature of this crime and the status of this ongoing investigation. Bates was confined at Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
