Wilfred A. “Willie” Pfeifer
Victoria, Kansas – Wilfred A. “Willie” Pfeifer, age 92, died
Saturday,
September 28, 2013, on the farm in his home at Victoria, Kansas.
He was born November 18, 1920, in Victoria, Kansas, to Anthony J.
and
Rosa (Dreiling) Pfeifer. He married Bertha (Walter) on September 30,
1946,
in Catherine, Kansas. She died January 20, 2010.
He was a farmer and a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and
served
on the church committee, Victoria, Kansas. He collected and restored
Minneapolis-Moline tractors and competed in “tractor pulls”. He was past
president and board member of the Victoria-Gorham Coop. In the 1970’s he
won the Bankers Award for Ellis County Soil Conservation District. He
enjoyed the farm and his family.
Survivors include his, two sons, Kenneth Pfeifer and wife, Diane,
Victoria, KS; Steve Pfeifer and wife, Mary, Victoria, KS; two daughters,
Janice Pfannenstiel and husband Jerry, Munjor, KS; Shirley Pfeifer, Hays,
KS; one brother Robert Pfeifer, Hays, KS; four sisters, Rosie
Phannenstiel,
Benton, KS; Esther Maher, Great Bend, KS, Wilma VonLintel and husband,
Regis, Tini Rajewski, both of Victoria, KS; ten grandchildren, Donna
Erickson, Jeff Pfannenstiel, Scott Pfannenstiel, Eric Pfeifer and wife,
Jennifer, Kory Pfeifer and wife, Jessi, Troy Pfeifer and wife, Wendy,
Jason
Pfeifer and companion Sarah Roach, Jill Pfannenstiel and husband, Clint,
Jennifer Amrein and companion Jeff Mc Quade, Jared Pfeifer and fiancé
Morgan
Lampe; eight great grandchildren, Lane Pfannenstiel, Colton Pfannenstiel,
Kinley Pfannenstiel, Kennidy Amrein, Reece Amrein, Jack Pfeifer, Kane
Pfeifer and Walker Pfeifer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers,
Herbert Pfeifer, Edmund Pfeifer, Al Pfeifer; one sister, Ann Kaltenbach;
two infant brothers, Anthony and Alfred; and one grandson-in-law, Gary
Erickson.
Services are 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at St. Fidelis
Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas. Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery,
Victoria, Kansas.
A vigil service is at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday, at Cline’s Mortuary, 412
Main
Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671. Visitation is from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M.
Tuesday, and from 8:30 to 9:45 A.M. Wednesday, all at Cline’s Mortuary,
Victoria, Kansas.
