
Judge Edward E. Bouker of Hays has been reappointed to a two-year term as chief judge of the 23rd Judicial District, effective January 1.
Kansas Chief Justice Lawton Nuss made the announcement Monday.
Bouker started as a district judge in 1993 for the 23rd Judicial District. He presides over cases in Ellis, Gove, Rooks and Trego counties.
He also serves on the Kansas Judicial Council’s Pattern Instructions for Kansas Committee and is chairman of the Kansas Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Committee.
Bouker practiced law in Hays for 17 years before his election to the bench.
