Thursday October 3, was the last day of evidence in the trial of Antonio Brown Sr. vs. the State of Kansas at the Riley County court house in Manhattan, Kansas.
The prosecuting attorney Ellen Mitchell started with a 75 minute audio interview with Brown and the investigators at Salina Police Department on the day of Oct. 4th, 2011.
The audio was a of the investigators talking to Brown about the events of October 4th, and the weekend previous. Brown admitted in the audio for being the disciplinarian of Clayden Urbanek, and stated that Brittney was in the living room the afternoon of October 3rd, 2011 when he spanked Clayden with a wooden plank.
Brown also admitted to telling Brittney to make up a story about Clayden to tell Jordan Urbanek, allowing them to hide the bruises for the weekend. However, Brown said he hadn’t seen any bruises on Clayden’s abdomen until the morning of October 4th when he was changing his diapers.
The investigators continued to ask Brown about the wounds on Clayden, but he did not answer them during the interview.
The closing arguments are scheduled for Friday, October 4th, and then the jury will convene to find a verdict. Brown is charged with four felonies, including 1st degree murder. The Little Apple Post will continue to cover the case, and will update with the arguments and the verdict
